Creating an image with AI isn’t just typing a few words and getting a finished picture. For the result to look professional and fit a specific task, you first need to define the idea, style, composition, atmosphere, and purpose of the future visual.
AI works from a text description, references, and other input materials, generating an image based on them. But the quality of the result largely depends on how well the task is formulated and how well thought out the concept itself is.
Where does it all start?
The first step is the idea. You need to understand what exactly should be depicted, which brand or product the visual is being created for, and where it will be used.
For example, for a cosmetics brand you might create a minimalist composition with the product on a light background, or you might build a complex advertising scene with unusual lighting, textures, and decorative elements.
For social media, it’s important to consider how the image will look among other content. For advertising — put the main focus on the product and the message. For a website — take care of the composition, open space, and fit with the overall page design.
How does AI understand what to create?
Once the idea is defined, a detailed description of the future image is formed — a prompt.
It can specify which object should be the main one, where it’s positioned, what lighting, colors, background, materials, mood, style, composition, and level of detail are needed.
For example, it’s not enough to write simply “create a perfume photo.” A much more precise brief can describe a premium scene, the bottle’s position, the character of the light, reflections on the glass, the color palette, the background, and the atmosphere.
The better thought out the concept, the more chances you have of getting a result that matches your vision.
